Abstract—This research work deals with the stress in the Spline shaft under various loading condition of given torque. Finite element method along with experimental technique of photo elasticity is used. The stress analysis of TATA G750 (LPK2518TC) spline shaft model is carried out analytically and by FEM. Its results are validated using photo elasticity. From this analysis it has been observed that results obtained are in close agreement with each other and maximum shear stress concentration occurs at root of the spline teeth.
