Abstract—Determination of optimal cutting parameters is one of the most important elements in any process planning of metal parts. The evolutionary algorithm Genetic Algorithm (GA) is used to improve many solutions of optimization complex problems in many applications. The present paper reviewed the ideal selection of cutting parameters in turning operation of En24 work material using PVD coated tool using GA and its variants. This study deals with GA algorithm in different machining aspects in turning operation like surface roughness, material removal rate, and power consumption.
