Abstract—Quality is a state of a finished product, being free from defects, deficiencies and significant variations. This measure of an excellence can be brought about by the strict and consistent adherence to measureable and verifiable standards to achieve uniformity of output that satisfies specific customer or user requirements. This paper gives a proposed methodology for to increase the quality of a product manufactured in a grinding machine, using the various quality improvement tools like Process monitoring techniques, Cause and Effect diagram, Why-Why analysis and Statistical Process Control Charts. The key note in using these tools is because of ease way to detect the problems and solutions for the same. The quality improvement is accompanied by the changes in machining parameters of a grinding machine and the optimisation of those changes reflects as an increase in the acceptance level of the product in the world market
