Abstract—This paper presents the study on the impact of the operating parameters of a Polymer Electrolyte Membrane (PEM) electrolyzer on its performance using the numerical simulation method. The results showed that the increment of some parameters, including the operating temperature, the exchange current density, and the charge transfer coefficient could lead to the improvement of the PEM electrolyzer performance. But the increase of operating pressure reduces the elecrtolyzer performance.
